Rachel & Eric - Feature Film - Colonie Golf & Country Club

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

Best. vows. ever!

Rachel & Eric were married at the Colonie Golf and Country Club. They wrote their own vows which both were funny and sweet and had more than a few people in tears (have a tissue handy when you watch). In between the ceremony and reception they headed outside for a few photos where it promptly started raining. Rachel and Eric were troopers though, toughing it out, raindrops and all - and after seeing the photos I’m sure they are glad they did.

At the reception, their bridal party and guests danced the night away and Eric performed one of the funniest garter removals ever.  The third try is my favorite - I crack up every time I see it. It’s no wonder that Rachel is always laughing when she’s with Eric. So much fun!

Here is Rachel & Eric’s feature film. Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Stephanie & Ted - Albany Country Club

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

What a wedding! Stephanie & Ted had it all, and to top it off, the weather was perfect. Starting off the day we split up - I met up with Stephanie and the girls and Amanda hung out with Ted and the guys. The girls were all relaxed getting their hair and makeup done when I arrived, while the guys were chilling playing a little air hockey. As always, when our friends, the Elarios, arrived everything kicked into high gear. Stephanie slipped into her gown and blue Manolo Blahnik shoes, and made her grand entrance down the staircase where her father was waiting (he melted). At the guys house there was more air hockey and a last minute bite to eat before hopping in the Hummer to head to the church.

The Greek ceremony was beautiful - full of traditions. The couple were married by the bishop, who was a family friend, so it made it that much more special. Afterwards we all made our way to the Albany Country Club where they pretty much took over the whole place. The cocktail hour was outside on the patio and included living statues that held the place cards (so cool). Inside a whole room was dedicated to candies, desserts and coffees. There were flowers and crystal trees on the tables, a cake that looked like it was made for a princess, and they had Greek band and a DJ to keep the dance floor rocking all night long. Oh, and I can’t count the number of times the staff had to sweep dollar bills off the dance floor. What a great night!

Jamileh & Seth - Mohawk River Country Club

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

After changing their January wedding date to accomodate family needs, everything finally came together and Jamileh & Seth were married a little over a week ago, surrounded by their family and friends - including Vickie & Sidney, one of our 2009 couples.  After getting ready at their parent’s houses, Jamileh & Seth made it official at Sacred Heart Church in Troy before heading to the Mohawk River Country Club to celebrate.  There we were entertained by a belly dancer, treated to an amazing dessert spread and guests got to create their own keepsakes as well as one for the bride and groom with the photobooth that was set up.  The night ended with a special song dedicated to the bride by her new father-in-law (there’s a snippet of it at the end of the highlight video).

Julie & Anthony Highlights - Century House

Monday, October 18th, 2010

“Wow!” That was all Tony could say when Julie reached him at the top of the aisle. She was stunning, and was probably one of the most excited brides I’ve seen. Need proof? Just check out Julie & Tony’s first kiss in the video below. That excitement started at the beginning of the day and lasted through the end of the night.

I met up with Julie at her house as she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. You could tell that Julie had been planning for this day. Everywhere you looked, you could see reminders of the wedding - the Save the Date magnet on the fridge, painted bride and groom glasses on the shelf, and her custom framed invitation on the wall. From Julie’s house, they all hopped in a trolley and headed off for pictures, then made their way to St. Mary’s in Waterford to make it official. A few dozen smiles later, we made it to the reception where the bride and groom and their guests (whether at the bar or on the dance floor) partied the night away.

Katelyn & Anthony - Wedding Highlights

Monday, July 5th, 2010

What a wonderful day!  I met up with Katelyn at her parent’s house where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready.  I was greeted by her adorable niece who promptly informed me that she was 3 years old.  Adorable.  Before we knew it Katelyn was on her way downstairs so her father could see her in her dress for the first time.  A few tears later (with make-up still perfect), we headed outside for some photos then made our way to the chapel at Siena College for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the bridal party photos took place on campus.  At one point Katelyn broke out a basketball and she and Anthony posed for some cool action shots.  The reception took place at Glen Sanders Mansion where the tables were decked out in black linens with photographs of Katelyn & Anthony’s dogs displaying the table numbers.  The party started as the introductions were getting underway with the bridal party - including both sets of parents - giving the guests some competition in the noise making department from out in the hallway.  From there it was the place to be that night, and I’m glad we got to be there.

Some things I learned at this wedding:
~ Katelyn loves to laugh - and when she’s with Anthony, she laughs a lot
~ Safety pins can be a bride’s best friend
~ Anthony loves chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes
~ The best man can make half court shots when there is cash up for grabs
~ The dogs aren’t the only… (nevermind - that one stays between me and the guests at the wedding) :)

We got to work with some fabulous vendors at this wedding, including Jessie & Pat from Casey Connell, Flawless by Tina and DJ Fernando - among others listed below.

Flowers: Flowers by Pesha

Maegan & Aaron - Wedding Highlights

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

She knew this was the place she wanted to get married at, even before she was engaged.  It was a beautiful Spring day at the Mohawk River Country Club and Maegan planned her whole day there - from getting ready in the bridal suite, to an outdoor ceremony by the gazebo, to a perfectly pink reception.

As Aaron waited with his groomsmen, which included his son Shawn, Maegan walked down the aisle with two men - her father and her and Aaron’s little man, Mason.  As Maegan’s father placed her hand in Aaron’s, he instructed him to “Take care of my baby”.  Aaron promised he would.

The ceremony was short and sweet which left plenty of time for pictures and mingling with guests at the cocktail hour, which is definitely a place you want to be at here because the food is amazing.  The reception followed and Maegan and Aaron entered the room and shared their first dance as husband and wife.  Their son Mason soon joined mom and dad on the dance floor as they all started their new life together.

Maegan & Aaron - thanks for letting us be a part of your day, and as Mason would say, “Mwahhhh!”  :)
