Nicole & Nick ~ Feature Film ~ Canfield Casino

Monday, November 28th, 2011

When I found out Nicole and Nick were finally engaged, I immediately blocked their date on my calendar. They hadn’t called me yet, but there was no way I was going to miss this wedding when they did call. I have fallen in love with this crowd (there were 6 CASL brides there) - plus, they throw the.best.parties!  And to top it all off, this was Nicole & Nick’s 42nd wedding together - yes, 42nd.

I met up with Nicole at her parent’s house where I got to meet Cruz, their dog, in his adorable Ringbearer shirt. Nicole was ready to go. Hair done. Make-up done. When she finally got dressed, I think everyone in the room was tearing up, except Nicole - she kept her cool the whole time. As soon as everyone was ready, we headed outside with our good friends, Joe & JP Elario for some photos. Of course, it decided to rain right about then - good thing those two are quick.

At the church, Nick continued a family tradition and walked his mother down the aisle (loved that!), then he and Nicole made #42 official.  It rained again between the ceremony & reception, but cleared up just enough for some photos of the two of them outside. Inside the bridal party got the party started with the intros and kept it going the rest of the night - such a great time - and wait until you see what Nicole did for the father daughter dance. So sweet! I even got a picture with all my brides that were there (love them!).

Here is Nicole & Nick’s feature film.  Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Marisa & Bob - Franklin Terrace

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

Marisa has been in or at a few weddings of mine over the past couple of years, so I was very excited when I found out she & Bob got engaged last year and even more excited when she called me!

Marisa started off her day at her grandmother’s house where she and her bridesmaids got ready.  The house was full and there was something going on in every room.  Bob hung out with the guys at a groomsman’s house, joking and laughing until it was time to go.  Before they left, Bob gave the guys their gifts - sneakers (each pair picked out especially for the recipient).  How cool is that?  Before we knew it the ceremony started and Marisa appeared at the end of the aisle - she was breathtaking.  They sealed their vows with an awesome first kiss and made their way down the aisle.  To start off the reception, the bridal party was introduced and danced their way into the room, each couple to a different song, with the men sporting their new footwear.  The newlyweds followed and got everyone on the dance floor right away and kept them there for the rest of the night - barely stopping for the ice cream sundae station that was set up later in the night (chocolate with M&Ms - my favorite).

Lisa & John (& Brianna) Highlights - New Year’s Eve

Saturday, February 12th, 2011

How do you make sure to remember what you did on New Year’s Eve? Get married and ring in the new year with all your family and friends. That’s what Lisa & John did.

Lisa & John made it official at St. Jude’s in Wynantskill, where Lisa married a “Troy Boy”. :) After their vows to each other, John presented Lisa’s daughter, Brianna, with a ring and made a family vow to her (yes, there were tears all around). The tears soon dried and were replaced with smiles and applause as the new Mr. & Mrs. made their way down the aisle and headed to the Century House to celebrate. The cocktail hour featured a drink named after the new couple, the “Bonatini”, and throughout the night there was food wherever you looked - chocolate fountains, a candy bar, a dessert table in addition to the wedding cake, an ice cream bar, and to top it off, after the New Year’s countdown and balloon release, a new table appeared with pizza, wings, sliders and fries.  What a great way to end 2010 and start off the new year!

Ashley & Rich Highlights - Saratoga National

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

Wow! Ashley & Rich’s wedding had it all - a candy bar, an ice cream station, a cigar roller, a photobooth, Dough-boys for a late night snack and a fireworks show. Add in the New York Players and a crazy fun bride and groom and you’ve got one awesome party. And, to top it all off, Ashley got up and sang with the band. Like I said, Wow!

I met up with Ashley and her bridal party at the salon where they were getting ready. They pretty much took over the place in their matching pink sweats and white sweatshirts. In addition to getting her hair and make up done, Ashley had her toenails bedazzled for her “something blue”. From there we headed to Ashley’s parents house so they could get dressed then headed to Saratoga National for the ceremony and reception.

Rich managed to keep it together as Ashley made her way down the aisle to him, however it looks like it took everything he had in him to do so. They had a short but very sweet ceremony which included a non-traditional reading that Ashley picked from “Marley & Me”, then sealed their vows with a kiss. After some quick photos, the newlyweds were introduced and danced their way into the reception where they pretty much stayed on the dance floor for the rest of the night - only taking a break for the fireworks and Dough-boys. At one point, Ashley joined the band for “Everlasting Love” and Rich was front and center for his new wife’s performance enjoying every second of it. As Ashley’s sister Whitney said in her toast - these two were made for each other.

Ashley & Rich - thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day and for all those yummy treats! :)

Maegan & Aaron - Wedding Highlights

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

She knew this was the place she wanted to get married at, even before she was engaged.  It was a beautiful Spring day at the Mohawk River Country Club and Maegan planned her whole day there - from getting ready in the bridal suite, to an outdoor ceremony by the gazebo, to a perfectly pink reception.

As Aaron waited with his groomsmen, which included his son Shawn, Maegan walked down the aisle with two men - her father and her and Aaron’s little man, Mason.  As Maegan’s father placed her hand in Aaron’s, he instructed him to “Take care of my baby”.  Aaron promised he would.

The ceremony was short and sweet which left plenty of time for pictures and mingling with guests at the cocktail hour, which is definitely a place you want to be at here because the food is amazing.  The reception followed and Maegan and Aaron entered the room and shared their first dance as husband and wife.  Their son Mason soon joined mom and dad on the dance floor as they all started their new life together.

Maegan & Aaron - thanks for letting us be a part of your day, and as Mason would say, “Mwahhhh!”  :)
