Suzanne & Brian ~ Feature Film ~ Saratoga National

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Suzanne & Brian were married on a beautiful day back in September at Saratoga National. After the very personal and touching ceremony (performed by Suzanne’s aunt) I overheard the following during their photoshoot with JP Elario:

JP: “Take it all in Brian.”
Brian: “I’m trying…making sure I can remember it all.”

I loved this exchange, because really, the day goes by so fast that you really need to make yourself take the time to soak it all in. You could see Suzanne & Brian doing this though out the day - from their first look, to the glances at each other during the ceremony, to their complete attention to each other during their photos and their first dance.

Suzanne & Brian put their personal touches on everything, including the centerpieces, which they made themselves and were so cool (candles and vases filled with candy in the colors of the bridesmaids flowers), the programs that Suzanne designed herself, and the cake, or lack of - they had make-your-own ice cream sundaes instead. Loved that!

Here is Suzanne & Brian’s feature film from their September 2011 wedding. Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Amanda & Kevin ~ Feature Film ~ Mallozzi’s

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

On a gorgeous September day, I arrived at Amanda’s parents house where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. They had the music pumping and were all excited about the big day ahead. Kevin sent over some gifts for his bride to be, including a new ring for her to wear as her something blue. So sweet! After a minor wardrobe malfunction, Amanda got laced into her dress and added the finishing touch - the veil, which was the same veil her mother wore at her wedding.

The ceremony took place at St. Augustine’s where Amanda & Kevin made it official, then we headed to Sage for some photos with our faves from Joe Elario Photography. We had extra time in between the ceremony and reception which was awesome so they could spend as much time as they wanted on photos and still make it to the reception in time for cocktail hour.

As the bridal party was introduced, they each did something fun and when Amanda and Kevin made their grand entrance, they turned up the volume and started the party right then.  In between dancing and hamming it up at the Elario photobooth, they and their guests partied the night away.

Here is Amanda & Kevin’s feature film from their September 2011 wedding. Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Highlights from Amanda & Kevin’s wedding film…

Nicole & Nick ~ Feature Film ~ Canfield Casino

Monday, November 28th, 2011

When I found out Nicole and Nick were finally engaged, I immediately blocked their date on my calendar. They hadn’t called me yet, but there was no way I was going to miss this wedding when they did call. I have fallen in love with this crowd (there were 6 CASL brides there) - plus, they throw the.best.parties!  And to top it all off, this was Nicole & Nick’s 42nd wedding together - yes, 42nd.

I met up with Nicole at her parent’s house where I got to meet Cruz, their dog, in his adorable Ringbearer shirt. Nicole was ready to go. Hair done. Make-up done. When she finally got dressed, I think everyone in the room was tearing up, except Nicole - she kept her cool the whole time. As soon as everyone was ready, we headed outside with our good friends, Joe & JP Elario for some photos. Of course, it decided to rain right about then - good thing those two are quick.

At the church, Nick continued a family tradition and walked his mother down the aisle (loved that!), then he and Nicole made #42 official.  It rained again between the ceremony & reception, but cleared up just enough for some photos of the two of them outside. Inside the bridal party got the party started with the intros and kept it going the rest of the night - such a great time - and wait until you see what Nicole did for the father daughter dance. So sweet! I even got a picture with all my brides that were there (love them!).

Here is Nicole & Nick’s feature film.  Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Abi & Brad - Fenimore Art Museum

Friday, July 29th, 2011

On an iffy-weather day back in June, we made the trip to Cooperstown for the wedding of Abi & Brad (Frosty). When I arrived at Abi’s parents house on the lake, Abi and her mother were getting their make-up done side by side. It started to rain when the girls were getting their pictures taken, but stopped just in time for Abi & Brad’s first look. After a few pictures of the bridal party, they boarded a Cooperstown trolley, while Abi hopped into a classic turquoise Cadillac and headed to the museum.

When everyone was seated and the music for the ceremony began, the raindrops started again. Just a couple at first, then a little more and a little more. Nothing was going to deter Abi and Brad though. They made their way down the aisle, and stood in the rain until they were pronounced husband and wife. Watching them, you wouldn’t even guess that it was raining at all.

Stephanie & Ted - Albany Country Club

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

What a wedding! Stephanie & Ted had it all, and to top it off, the weather was perfect. Starting off the day we split up - I met up with Stephanie and the girls and Amanda hung out with Ted and the guys. The girls were all relaxed getting their hair and makeup done when I arrived, while the guys were chilling playing a little air hockey. As always, when our friends, the Elarios, arrived everything kicked into high gear. Stephanie slipped into her gown and blue Manolo Blahnik shoes, and made her grand entrance down the staircase where her father was waiting (he melted). At the guys house there was more air hockey and a last minute bite to eat before hopping in the Hummer to head to the church.

The Greek ceremony was beautiful - full of traditions. The couple were married by the bishop, who was a family friend, so it made it that much more special. Afterwards we all made our way to the Albany Country Club where they pretty much took over the whole place. The cocktail hour was outside on the patio and included living statues that held the place cards (so cool). Inside a whole room was dedicated to candies, desserts and coffees. There were flowers and crystal trees on the tables, a cake that looked like it was made for a princess, and they had Greek band and a DJ to keep the dance floor rocking all night long. Oh, and I can’t count the number of times the staff had to sweep dollar bills off the dance floor. What a great night!
