Erin & Matt - Bridal Idol Winners - The Big Day!

Erin and Matt were the winners of the 104.9 The Cat Bridal Idol contest held a few months ago. They only had 8 weeks to put together an amazing fairytale wedding and with the guidance and help of wedding planner Taia Younis of Inspired Occasions, they did just that. Luckily their amazing vendors had already been chosen, but it still left some difficult decisions - the invitations, the dress, the flowers & linens, the theme, the cake, the menu, the guest list - and more importantly, what to wear for their engagement photo session. :) Throughout the planning process, Taia really got to know Erin & Matt as a couple, so she was able to tailor the day to their tastes so the decisions were easy. I think she also may have called in a favor or two for the beautiful weather that day.

Erin & Matt - Bridal Idol winners - Engagement Photos

Less than a week to go until Erin & Matt’s big day. One of the things they will have at their wedding is a custom designed guest book featuring photos from their engagement session with Lisa & Scott from Scott Kretschmann Photography. For their photo session, we all headed up to Highlands Castle which overlooks Lake George. The place was incredible and the views were breathtaking. From there we found a dock on the lake for some sweet photos, then made our way into Lake George Village to finish up with some fun stuff at the arcade.

Erin & Matt - Bridal Idol winners - Less Than 2 Weeks Left

With less than 2 weeks left, the final details are being worked out for Erin & Matt’s dream wedding. Wedding planner, Taia Younis, of Inspired Occasions is guiding the couple as they make their final decisions.

With only a couple of weeks left they:
~ chose their linens and up lighting for the reception at Total Events
~ previewed their floral centerpieces with the linens at Ambiance Florals & Events
~ designed their cake and decided on the flavors at Coccadotts

Since then they had their engagement photos taken by Scott & Lisa of Scott Kretschmann Photography, got back their response cards, started working on the seating chart and favors, and Erin had her final fitting. Only a little over a week to go until Erin & Matt’s big day - June 4th!

Erin & Matt - Bridal Idol Winners - Day 10

The planning continues… Erin & Matt, who won the 104.9 The Cat Bridal Idol dream wedding giveaway, now have less than two short months to plan their wedding. Luckily, they have wedding planner Taia Younis of Inspired Occasions to guide them and make sure it becomes the day they’ve always dreamed about.

Day 10 included:

•Choosing flowers (colors, types and design) with Michele Peters at Ambiance Florals & Events
•Meeting their photographers, learning about their package (which included an awesome surprise for the couple) & planning their engagement shoot with Scott & Lisa of Scott Kretschmann Photography

Since then, the invitations have arrived and are being mailed and appointments have been set to meet the DJ, to select a cake (yum) and to have their engagement photos taken at Highlands Castle.

Erin & Matt - Bridal Idol Winners - Planning Day 1

Last weekend, the planning for Erin & Matt’s wedding started. Erin & Matt won the 104.9 The Cat Bridal Idol dream wedding giveaway and only have two short months to plan their wedding. Luckily, they have a wedding planner who already had the vendors lined up, so they only need to choose the details that will personalize their wedding and make it their own.

Day 1 included:

  • Meeting their wedding planner - Taia Younis of Inspired Occasions
  • Selecting their invitations
  • Meeting their videographer (me!)
  • Choosing a gown at Bridal Gallery by Yvonne - it’s gorgeous by the way and is not shown in the video  :)
  • Touring the Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake where their ceremony and reception will take place

It was a very productive day, and just the beginning.  Since then, Erin & Matt picked out their wedding bands and the guys selected their tuxedos. Next up they’re going to visit their florist and photographer.

I recently had the pleasure of putting together a promotional video for Taia Younis, wedding & event planner and owner of Inspired Occasions.  I have had the pleasure of working with Taia a couple of times now and have been impressed each time with her creative ideas, her attention to detail and the level of service she provides to her clients as well as the vendors she works with.  Taia offers complimentary initial consultations so you can get to know her and figure out what package is right for you.
