Suzanne & Brian ~ Feature Film ~ Saratoga National

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Suzanne & Brian were married on a beautiful day back in September at Saratoga National. After the very personal and touching ceremony (performed by Suzanne’s aunt) I overheard the following during their photoshoot with JP Elario:

JP: “Take it all in Brian.”
Brian: “I’m trying…making sure I can remember it all.”

I loved this exchange, because really, the day goes by so fast that you really need to make yourself take the time to soak it all in. You could see Suzanne & Brian doing this though out the day - from their first look, to the glances at each other during the ceremony, to their complete attention to each other during their photos and their first dance.

Suzanne & Brian put their personal touches on everything, including the centerpieces, which they made themselves and were so cool (candles and vases filled with candy in the colors of the bridesmaids flowers), the programs that Suzanne designed herself, and the cake, or lack of - they had make-your-own ice cream sundaes instead. Loved that!

Here is Suzanne & Brian’s feature film from their September 2011 wedding. Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Amanda & Kevin ~ Feature Film ~ Mallozzi’s

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

On a gorgeous September day, I arrived at Amanda’s parents house where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. They had the music pumping and were all excited about the big day ahead. Kevin sent over some gifts for his bride to be, including a new ring for her to wear as her something blue. So sweet! After a minor wardrobe malfunction, Amanda got laced into her dress and added the finishing touch - the veil, which was the same veil her mother wore at her wedding.

The ceremony took place at St. Augustine’s where Amanda & Kevin made it official, then we headed to Sage for some photos with our faves from Joe Elario Photography. We had extra time in between the ceremony and reception which was awesome so they could spend as much time as they wanted on photos and still make it to the reception in time for cocktail hour.

As the bridal party was introduced, they each did something fun and when Amanda and Kevin made their grand entrance, they turned up the volume and started the party right then.  In between dancing and hamming it up at the Elario photobooth, they and their guests partied the night away.

Highlights from Amanda & Kevin’s wedding film…

Michelle & Mathias - Feature Film - Taste

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

One word - beautiful. The couple, the dress, the flowers - the whole day. Michelle thought of everything - she had matching robes and bags for her and her bridesmaids, personalized hangers for all their dresses, blue toenails (for her something blue), and even gifts for her vendors :) .

Michelle & Mathias were married at historic St. Mary’s in Albany, took pictures down by the river, then headed to their cocktail hour on the patio at Taste with views of downtown Albany before heading inside for the party.  DJ Jeffrey Scott rocked it out and the Casey Connell photography team debuted their new photo booth that night - which the guests loved.  The speeches were touching and funny and Mathias even got up and spoke - though some of it was in German, so I have no idea what he said. Oh, and the first dance was AWESOME! It was a great night for a great couple - and I was so happy to be there for it all!

Here is Michelle & Mathias’ feature film. Enjoy - and feel free to leave comments for the happy couple!

Lauren & Christopher - Wedding Highlights

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

I first met Lauren just a few weeks before her wedding. Her final countdown had begun, and all her arrangements were made, but she hadn’t booked a videographer yet. It was on her list but she kept skipping over it - then coming back to it - until she finally made her decision. Luckily (for me), I was available and she decided to go for it (a very wise decision if I do say so myself). :)

So, fast forward a couple of weeks and on a gorgeous Saturday in September I meet up with Lauren again. This time it’s as she is getting ready for her wedding. Lipstick-N-Lashes was there as Lauren & the girls got ready at her mom’s house - the same place the reception would take place later on. Big Joe & JP Elario of Joe Elario Photography soon showed up which meant it was time to get rolling. We headed off to Emma Willard for Lauren & Chris’ first look and wedding ceremony. Lauren hit a range of emotions during her vows (calm, nervous, crying, laughing) before she pulled it together and they were pronounced husband and wife.

After the ceremony and a bubble exit from the church, Lauren & Chris hopped in a classic Bentley and headed into Troy for some more photos (check out photos here) before making their way back to the house where a huge tent was set up for the reception. They pretty much thought of everything to make it a great outdoor party - they had luminaries lighting the way to the tent entrance, lighting around tree trunks and hanging in trees, votives all along the rock wall behind their flower garden, a fire pit and Classe Catering for the eats and drinks. It was great seeing everything Lauren talked about come together into this great looking event - including the blue bridesmaids dresses with pink shoes, tan suits and Burberry ties for the guys and the colorful flowers by Fleurtacious Designs. Vinny from NonStop Music provided the music for the night and once Lauren made her way to the dance floor, she was there for the rest of the night. It was a great day for a great couple.

Kate & Alex - Wedding Highlights

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

“Wait,” Kate’s father instructed Alex when they reached the end of the aisle. He wanted one more moment with his daughter. So Alex waited, and when he finally got to take Kate’s hand he was given one more instruction, “Take care of her”. And that’s how their life as a married couple began.

For those of you that frequent the Elario blog, you’ll recognize Kate & Alex from their engagement photos - they’re the Fenway Park couple. I saw their photos myself and was so excited when they contacted me to help document their day - and what a wonderful day it was. Blue skies, white fluffy clouds, perfect weather and everything taking place on Lake George. You couldn’t ask for a better day.

Kate got ready in Ticonderoga at a house right on the lake. As she was getting her make up done, her sister handed her a gift that Alex had sent over - gorgeous custom earrings to match her engagement ring. She immediately swapped out the pearls she was going to wear. When she was done getting ready Kate headed downstairs where her father was waiting for her.  She then grabbed her beautiful bouquet created by Kris Ann of Fleurtacious Designs and headed outside for photos by the lake with her bridesmaids.  Big Joe & JP from Joe Elario Photography were on hand to create the images that day and once again did an amazing job (check out the photos here).  The ceremony was right up the road at St. Mary’s which was followed by the reception at The Sagamore.  While the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, I hopped on a boat with JP and the bridal party to get some shots out on the lake.  If you’re getting married near a lake, I highly recommend this - so much fun.   We headed back to a cheering crowd and as Kate & Alex made their way up to the party, everyone they passed congratulated them and told them how great they looked!

Soon the reception started and DJ Paul Malo introduced the new couple/Red Sox fans to a cheering crowd as they entered the room to a fun Dropkick Murphys tune.  From there, the rest of the night just flew by.

On a personal note, Amanda and I would like to send out special thanks to Nick and Annamae Fleming for their help that day.  Thank you!  ;)
