Allyson & Matt - Wedding Highlights

I didn’t get to meet Allyson & Matt before their wedding, but I did learn some interesting tidbits about them that day:

  • Matt was a wrestler who started playing football at the urging of a particular coach
  • Allyson’s father is a coach (yup, same one)
  • Matt likes to sleep late
  • Allyson is an early bird
  • Matt popped the question during a hot air balloon ride
  • Allyson said “Yes” - which is why I get to post the following highlight video

Allyson & Matt’s ceremony took place at the Oakwood Bible Church in Troy, where they were showered with confetti afterwards (Matt made sure he got it all out of Allyson’s hair before pictures).  The reception took place at the Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in Greenwich.  The property was beautiful and the views were amazing - which led to some fantastic photos by Erin & Jason from Gallery 9 North.  You can check out the photos on their blog here.  Vinny from Cool Cat Entertainment was the DJ who got the crowd going and kept the dance floor overflowing most of the night.  

Allyson & Matt - I’m glad things worked out the way they did so we could be there to capture your day.

Kyle & Luis - Wedding Highlights

What an amazing couple! I knew this wedding would be special when I stopped by the rehearsal at St. Anthony’s in Schenectady the night before and the bridesmaids were already crying as they practiced walking down the aisle. Sure enough, on the wedding day, the tears flowed again – this time Luis and his brother/best man, Augustine, were caught up in it too. At the end of the reception, Kyle’s cousin Kevin made a touching speech in which he referenced the ceremony and said “I’ve never seen love like that” – I think I’d have to agree with him.

After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a trolley and headed to the reception which was held upstairs at Mallozzi’s. DJ Jim Diaz from Cool Cat Entertainment got the party rolling and kept the music playing and the dance floor moving. Actually I think it was Kyle & Luis that really kept the dance floor moving – they were out there all night. Their photographer was Joe Parillo, who managed to keep shooting even though the Yankees lost that night :) .

Luis’ parents are in Mexico and couldn’t make it to the wedding, but with the video they’ll be able to witness the day as it happened and the love that was so evident between Kyle & Luis.
