Lea & Nicholas - Bride Preparations

Thought I’d share another bride preparations clip (it’s been a while since I posted one).  This one is from Lea & Nick’s wedding back in February.  When I got there, the hair stylists and make up artists were busy at work and Lea just was as calm as could be.  Then the flowers were delivered, along with a gift from Nick for his new bride, and the excitement started to build.  Soon the photographer arrived, Lea’s make up was finished and we went from 0-10 in an instant - that’s how it usually goes.

Kim & Jeff - Bride Preparations

Here is another Bridal Prep clip from 2008. This is from Kim & Jeff’s wedding back in September which was held at The Inn at Erlowest in Lake George. The ceremony was supposed to be held down by the lake with Kim arriving by boat, but it rained, so they had to activate Plan B. It didn’t dampen Kim’s spirit though - check out her great smile throughout the video - even when she is looking out the window at the rain coming down.

Kim got ready right at the Inn with her bridal party and parents nearby. During this time I found out she was a Neil Diamond fan, so I knew I wanted to use one of his songs in her video. Why this particular song? Watch to the end and you’ll find out…

Kim & John - Bride Preparations

The 2009 wedding season has just started so posts with new videos will be coming soon.  In the meantime, here is a clip from one of the bridal prep sessions from 2008.  I love to shoot these segments.  The pace is slower than it will be for the rest of the day and since I get to be a fly on the wall I usually learn some things about the bride and groom that helps me with the final edit of their video.

This video features Kim – from Kim & John’s wedding back in June.  They were married overlooking the lake at the Otesaga in Cooperstown, NY. Kim got ready right at the hotel with her bridemaids and her beautiful daughter, Emma by her side.  By the way, at the ceremony Emma wouldn’t let go of her Curious George and carried him all the way down the aisle – it was too cute.
